Pamela Anderson has officially responded to months of speculation surrounding allegations that Meghan Markle‘s Netflix cooking show With Love, Meghan was a copycat version of her own series Pamela’s Cooking With Love.

During a candid appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, August 3, host Andy Cohen confronted the 58-year-old actress about the viral controversy that dominated social media for months.

Another user declared, “I will watch Pam’s show for sure she is nothing if not authentic Can’t wait to see her,” while others argued there were “Way too many similarities between the trailers for coincidence.”

Critics highlighted several specific parallels between both cooking shows. One point of contingence was when Anderson expressed her love “to cook” and wanting to “take things to another level” in her trailer, while Markle similarly claimed she “always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it.”

Both shows also featured the hosts inviting celebrity friends and professional chefs into their homes for cooking collaborations. Despite the format similarities, public reception of the two cooking programs couldn’t have been more different.

Anderson’s Pamela’s Cooking With Love received positive audience response, with viewers praising her authentic, down-to-earth approach to home cooking. Markle’s With Love, Meghan, however, faced intense scrutiny and mixed reviews, with critics questioning everything from her cooking credentials to the show’s overall authenticity.

Despite the controversy, Markle announced in March that her Netflix cooking series would return for a second season. “If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2!” the Duchess wrote on social media.
